Welcome to Ainsdale Kitesurf Club

AOSKC is a BKSA Affiliate club at Ainsdale on Sea (Map) and attracts kitesurfers to its huge, safe, open beach and friendly locals. The AOSKC has spent a lot of time and effort discussing the use of the beach with Sefton Council, helping to ensure it remains one of the top 10 kite beaches in the UK, and is the only part of the Sefton coast where kitesurfing is allowed. For this reason we ask you read the rules and regs (left hand side) and abide by them when using the beach, so it can remain open for all.

Click here to join the BKSA and the AOSKC, get your insurance and get on your way to getting out at one of the best spots in the country! More info coming for those who have insurance and just want a permit...
Happy New Year

Not strictly KS but kite related so we might like to turn out to cheer them on....

An attempt at the 24 hour distance record is being made with teams trying to been 197 miles in 24 hours. Full story here:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/merseyside/6229554.stm
The event is a 24 hour kite buggy challenge which will take place on the weekend of 23rd and 24th June 2007, starting at 10:00am.

Is there such a record for KS?

Demo Day!
Coyote (Admin), Monday 04 June 2007 - 22:52:15 // comment: 0

On Thursday 14th of June AOSPKC and AOSKC will be hosting a demo day with Surface Tension, UK suppliers of OZONE Kites.

It all kicks off at 1pm with the full range of OZONE Kites available for you to try and fly (land and water). Club instructors will be available for Introductory Power Kite Lessons, so it’s a chance to get your friends and family on the beach.

Weather permitting we hope to light a BBQ in the evening for you to cook your own stuff on, have a beer and watch the sunset.

Andy
